Good eye, yes they are Thor motorcross or off road boots. My son gave my the high top ones that reach my knee I returned them for the lower ones. We ride 4 wheelers also. They looked and felt good so I tryed them out on my dog. I guess the way I angle my foot just bumps the front pully cover. Never felt it, saw it the next morning.

i know the feeling feeling, just picked up my k9 and it has a 4" and i did the same thing lol

Rode an open drive once years ago and got the left pant leg caught up in the open pulley and though it came loose, not before just about breaking my ankle when it was pulled back all of a sudden. One of those lesson that sticks in my mind for ever along with never try to mess with vacumn tubes in an amp if you are not sure what you are doing!!!!!

If I ever get a open belt, will make sure that it has a pulley cover on it for sure.

Have fun with the belt drive though and let us know how it works out for the long term miles.
