How much of a difference will 5 more teeth on the back make in regards to rpm at 60mph? My rear pulley came apart and shredded my my belt. Im having a hard time finding a 65 tooth that I like. Also, how many teeth will I need on the belt if I go to a 70 tooth?
I remember in the sportbike world it was 1 down in the front equals 3 up in the back. Not sure if that applies to our application.

Kind of hard to see but the inside wall of the pulley separated from the center part. Thats what shredded my belt.

Looks like there was some pressure in the wrong place. Side pressure, mis alignment, belt too tight there shouldn't have been any reason for the pulley to do that if the belt was running neutral in the middle.
Just curious was pully billet or chromed ?

1 Sides are welded on.
2 Belt was true for the past 10,000 or so miles. I fail to see how it suddenly shifted. The inside of the wall would shine like a mirror from all the rubbing.
3 True, you do get what you pay for. I spoke to DNA and they told me that that the Demon pulley wholesales for more than I bought it for, so we think it was a leftover that the seller wanted to get rid of.
