500 Mi service....

Ok I need to get my scoot in for the 500 mile service...I'm
a little over due Oopppss... So anyway I call the dealer here
in michigan that I spent my money with and they tell me they
don't take appts. and I could drop it off and get it in rotation..
So thats real nice you will get to when you can???I can expect
it back when???

So another place I have not too far from me is ACM...
YIKES........hell no to that.....Last place..FT I had a bad
experience trying to buy my scoot from them but the service does
not sound real great either.....What do do???Any input from the
Michigan doggers would be helpful...

SIICK!!!
well Scott.....don't what to tell ya.....there are not that many dealers in MI. I have not had any problems with FT servicing my bike...being that I bought it from them.....and my 500 service was free.....and when I did my 500....I called them...set up a appointment.....rode 124 miles to Full Throttle.....they did the service...I waited....then rode home.....
thats up to you were you take your bike......so far FT has been good to me as far as servicing my scoot......the only thing that I didn't like was the new service manager doesn't know how to call people back when he says so.....Michelle I believe handles all the BD customers now....thats who I talk to when I need something done....just my 2 cents...

Hanging out
Scott, I would either try that Beezers or go to Full Throttle.
The mechanic there at Full Throttle knows his stuff what I noticed there at F.T. was there was a guy there with a Big Dog who was having a problem with pricing and he had to hang out at the service desk for over an hour and still they couldn't get in touch with Michelle. She wasn't in the store and didn't answer her cell phone.
Plus the fact I waited there from before they opened until they closed and wasn't once offered as much as a cup of coffee while spending my $850.00 there.

Listen to Al dude he has a service network all across the East Coast, North to South and Texas too!!!!!!!!!:whoop: :2thumbs:

Well I talked to John the owner of Beezers today. Set something up
for next week. He was more than helpful on working around my schedule.
He seemed to really know his shit...Better customer service on the phone
than all 3 other places put together..

I will post again after I drop it off and pick it up on the experience..
Keep my fingers crossed maybe we have a good place to go in Michigan?

Scott... when you going over there? You riding over? I think I can say I live on your way.... and I'm on nights next week. Could join ya if I'm free.

Also, did you consider doing it all yourself?

Chris, I work in Auburn Hills so I'm gonna trailer it to work and then
go to Beezers and drop the scoot off, probably on Wensday afternoon.
I have a slight popping in my front end also that needs to be checked out.
So I figured I would take it in for the first one...Hopefully Beezers works
out for us Michigan Dog owners...We need a good place to go...

Good Luck with Beezers... we need someone we can have confidence in.

DougG found a place something Performance or Performance something, down at 11 and Dequindre...

He seems to be happy with them so far, maybe PM him for the information ?

Well I talked to john myself for about an hour yesterday and I was very impressed with his knowledge, honesty and his work ethic, and I honestly can't say that about any dealer or mechanic that I have talked to in the last couple years.

Saw your bike today after your drop off... Me and my partner in crime today kicked it over just for luck... a different spin on throwing salt over your shoulder... :D

And yeah, John seem like a good guy! Something tells me that we'll know more about "how good" he is... give us about 2 weeks... :zwhistle:

I am very interested to hear how Beezer works out - I am heading back to the Motor City which is good and bad. Good because I am returning to my home that has sat vacant for the last year - bad because I am leaving a great bunch of the Big Dog gang in Washington and an amazing service center/dealer. I just took my bike there for the 2500 and they spent over an hour cleaning my bike - just an amazing dealer who appreciates each person from the time they walk into the dealership until they leave.

I look forward to meeting up with the Michigan gang upon my return in the next few weeks.

Hopefully Beezer ends up being a great option that we can all count on - or atleast those of us who are not as strong with the wrench.
