4ways/low voltage, new battery etc

Energy One
Scratching my head here. I had a low voltage issue, it would vary while running/cruzing. Changed VR replaced 40amp BD. Battery was previously new, tests at 13.6.
Now 4 ways are always on, bike obviously will not turn over. Checked ground and every wire on the bike, even replaced hc harnesses. Once in a while (not often) if functions normally. What kinda computerized issue do I have going on? Lol

It would seem that you have a poor connection/ground on one of the wires you just installed or perhaps the VR itself. Double check what you did. Also you said you were having a low voltage issue prior to the new VR. 13.6 is low as well. It should be around 14vdc when running and at least 12.8 when not running and fully charged. Your stator may be bad. Also maybe your battery is failing. Have it load tested. A battery can read well under no load and completely crap out with a load.
The bike will work with the charging system disconnected. Charge your battery (12.8vdc) and try the bike with the system disconnected. It will help you isolate your problem. If your problem disappears it becomes obvious the problem lies in the charging system. I don't know what year your bike is but this flowchart may help you.

Defiantly sounds like a battery issue. Replace it with a Deka battery. I just ordered one on Amazon. AMG # ETX20L cca 310

Battery is brand new was changed than ran once to work before getting a new BD 40am VR... just pulled up the padding under the battety & found this... I'm mechanical not computer electrical smart (diesel mechanic by trade) 15931007356186745783421981260675.jpg15931007356186745783421981260675.jpg

Apologies for being "needy" I just got this bike. I'm a farmer who just couldn't do it anymore, been turning wrenches & welding for a bit over a year

The way the wire is torn is gonna cause ya some issues. More than likely the "root" of your problems. Holler @ Curtis at Wild Steed Worx. I bet he can get ya on the road.

Copy, will do. Figured I could just terminate them at the break but finding out what is actually is would be sweet!

That is the usb plug in for the ECH. With the proper software and a laptop it could modified to suit. The torn cable has most likely caused an interrmitent short, or now, a dead short. Not sure if the cable can be removed or a new unit would be necessary? Curtis should be able to help you.

HMAN is correct that's the USB connection used for troubleshooting if you have the software. Yes I would terminate the cable as you suggested. Cut it off clean and make sure no wires are touching each other including what looks like braided shielding. Tape it up and tuck it out of the way.
After that clean the area up . It looks like it was in a mud slide. Pull the connectors off the EHC ( that's the part with the torn USB cable) and clean the contacts and install new dielectric grease . Put a good charge on your battery and re-install it. Pos + side first and then the Neg - side.
Leave the seat off and start the bike and take notice of the little lights on top of the EHC. The lights are will help to isolate electrical issues. Read the attached file and it will give you a better understanding of what it's all about. Let us know how you make out. A new EHC is expensive so try whatever you can to make sure you need one before you get one.
