2X Tach

I recently replaced my ignition with a Crane Hi4. It runs great, but the tach now reads 2X normal. I noticed that the cam pick up only had one sensor while the Crane has two. I can only assume this is the cause.

Does anyone know a fix? I called Crane and they said to call the manufacturer - not Big Dog - the one that made the tach for Big Dog - any ideas?

8-1100, 8-2200, 8-2300, or something else?

8-4100 - Hi4 and Coil combo which is the 8-2100 ignition plus the 8-3005 coil (I think)

So when you replaced the ignition did you replace the cup behind the ignition?Which is what I think your saying. The old big dog ignition in your 04 was a dual fire but honestly I don't remember replacing the cup on mine and my tach works fine with the same ignition.

Nope - cup is the same.
