I still dont see 20k on a tire I barely got that on my HD. Question is how far past the ware bar are these tires and how many cords are showing?
I will get some pics up and you be the judge. It could be as simple as what your roads are made of, last time I was in flordy they had ground up sea shells mixed in with the pavement, that is hard on tires. I ride on wet roads and that may contribute to longer lasting tires....
Putting new tires on for peace of mind for a trip to so cal next month.

Fix the leak and don't be surprised if ya still get 28-32mpg, if ya ride it like ya stole it!
Wait till ya see the mileage ya get on that rear tire!:2thumbs:
Hahaha!! Rear tire...thats funny BB, 2500 if Im lucky. I dont drag race or even drop holeshots. I go so slow that sometimes school buses even pass me. My problem is in the frame and no one, including Phil from Daytec and BDM Tampa could help me find the problem. As for the mpg, about 45ish I guess.

Make sure the "Bowl Vent Plug" is taken out and switch that Spike to vertical.

Jets: 31 & 76 or 32 & 78 (depending on your Elevation from Sea Level) should be fine :2thumbs:

Dang I must be in a time warp 2014 this seems to be an extremely old thread.

I don't know if it's the mikuni or maybe I just ride like a pappy, but I am never lower than low 30's mpg. That's a lot of town riding and banging on the throttle. On the highway, I can pull 45-46 mpg usually.

Do you live at the top of Mount Whitney? What mileage do you get go back to the top?
No I'm actually in SC in the upstate. But I am running a custom built 124 ci bored to a 128 ci with a s&s 654 cam, BD spiked air cleaner and FSD Hotrod straight pipes. But even before this motor was put in on my 117 I was only getting about 92 miles to a tank of gas.

that motor isn't a Kendall Johnson prepped one, is it? that would explain a lot.
No it is actually a S&S, super G carb, not sure which jets because the motor was built at S&S's old speed shop for someone else who ended up backing out of the deal so I got it for a steal. I do know the paperwork that came with it said that it put out 140 HP tho. When I had it installed I had to contact Baker because of the 120 HP limit on the DSSC and had to have my transmission beefed up and add a primary belt drive just so the transmission even beefed up wouldn't crap out with that much HP. Baker said my transmission will now withstand 142 HP. So as long as I don't ride it like i stole it all the time I should be fine. But with my gas mileage and running 103 to 110 in it at somewhere near $5 a gallon who could afford to ride like they stole it. LOL

What did they do to beef up your gearbox? I'm sure there are others that are interested. Thanks in advance

I know they put a different main shaft in that was hardened all the way though, they drilled some orifice out, but not 100 percent what all they did, the shop dealt with baker directly, and I know I had to go to a primary belt drive with outer bearing support. I know the shop had my motorcycle from March 2017 till Feb 2018 doing everything they had to do. Installing the motor, rewiring a few things, the transmission, the belt drive, breaking it in to a degree, testing, setting up, changing ignition system to a thunder heart. But I can say besides gas mileage, it was well worth what I paid.

I completely misread you post. Everyone was talking MPG and I read that you were getting 100mpg not 100 per tank. Duh. 87/100 per tank for your setup should be expected. You pay the price for the extra fun and it sounds like you're happy to do it.
