Well, my rough plan .
I'm trailering into the Sturgis area.
My plan is to ride to Boise ID from there and back to Sturgis . I haven't locked into the Boise ride to before or after Sturgis .
As far as Sturgis, never been there, been to Daytona etc. My experience has been one or two days of a rally is enough for me .So I expect to get a far amount of riding to the places outside of Sturgis .

I started making poans for this with a broken (not as broken as yours) K-9 nad after a rousing game of Ferrule, where's the fc(&^ing ferrule, followed by a day of Exhaust bracket, where'd I leave the exhaust bracket, I am happy to say I was able to fire her up earlier.
Need to install the mirrors and the little cable holders near the neck. Clutch will need to be tweaked to get into neutral easier but that's normal.
I mentioned the idea of after the even to Chong today -- actually suggested last weekend plus how ever many days.
I was looking at how to avoid coming home to SC before Dave's in Sept, just turn it into a massive run -- maybe hit twisted Sisters and Grand Canyon.
Daves was also a concern for me. I got a lot of smoking to get done prior to. But a few days of great riding is sure sounding good right now. My last tiny bit of saddle time I ending up trailering home and thats where she currently sits! In the fkn trailer! See how things play out...

i must say this is interesting to us as well . After losing my free family spot in Sturgis I just am not feeling like fighting the masses this year ,especially after being gone so Much already. Chong I was in Boise this spring and it looked like fabulous riding areas. Tons of bike son roads ,like it used to be here and not very congested either . I’ve got contacts there if you are need info. I can send you guys on some real good rides in Wyoming and Montana if you wanted to go there before Sturgis or during than hit the black hills on the way back.
we actually thinking of doing something right after Labor Day and maybe stay a couple weeks and than come back for party on the farm. It’ll all work out.
