When are you planning on leaving? This would be the farthest I have ever rode on the bike. Not sure if they would let a bear in though ..

Each room has two double beds. Go ahead and book what you need. If all the rooms get booked, then we'll see who has an extra bed they would be willing to share, or you can hook up with someone now and share the cost.

Hey Paul,
Will advise - haven't planned the trip yet. But I would expect a first night stay in Albuquerque and then a day and a half to get through the TX panhandle, OK and KS with a morning arrival to the lodge.

I believe a few guys from LA are planning on heading into Dallas area, I plan to jump on with them. Hopefully Eric will be riding by then and will join. I am sure things will come together as we get closer but my room is booked for Thursday, Friday and Sat nights.

Rick got ahold of me, and said he and Roger want to lead a ride up to Derrick and Donna's place.

At this point I don't know if it will be on Friday or Saturday yet. It's around 165 miles up there, with the last 2 miles being a dusty rode.
I'm looking for a chase vehicle driver and maybe someone to stay with the bikes in Lyons, while the others go in. I haven't talked to Donna yet, she might have a way to take care of that.
I'll post as I know more.

Yeah.. we need to make it a priority to visit them.. I planned on leaving a day in advance just to spend some time with them and then head to the lodge. We shall see how it goes, but as of Now, it's looking as if it's going to be just the wife and I until Eric is sure he is coming or not or when he is coming..

My ridgeback build? My parts will be back from chroming tomorrow. From there I can start assembling the drive train.
Just got some very life changing news today and found out I may be transferring to Panama City Florida as early as oct 2018. This was very unexpected and if October is my transfer date then I will be extremely busy with trying to sell the house in California and getting ready for the morning move. It also means that the redwood run won’t be in my plans

For some reason I thought u had a k9 and the bear a while back.. I knew u had pic of the bear and another bike in ur garage parked next to each other.. my mistake brother..

No sweat , I had the bear and a pitbull. I tore down my pitbull and building a ridgeback with most of the pitbull parts. It was an 04 pitbull and I am building an 04 ridge.

Ok, if you look back up to post 72, I was talking about the ride schedule. Well here it is.
Being that most of us will be showing up on the 20th and 21st, that Wednesday night, and Thursday. We will do a ride to the Big Dog factory on Friday. I talked to Matt, he was hoping to be in their new building by then. This will be an early ride, so we can be back to Flint Oaks early.
Of course we'll have the bike show Friday night, but Friday afternoon activities have not been finalized yet.
The big news is, I talked to Donna, and the Saturday ride will be to the diner in Lyons, KS, to meet up with Derrick and Donna. Parking in front of the diner will be saved for us. Armed security will be provided for the bikes, while we take the short bus out to their place. The support vehicle will be out there too, so if you need a way to haul all the stuff you buy, you can throw it in that truck.
This will be a 2 1/2 hour ride one way.
More details to come.
