I don't know what you all are talking about, my bike is still worth 30K+, am I trying to sell it, hell no, do I want to sell it, hell no. Am I glad I got one before they went under, fuk yeah. After 8 years of owning it, every time I get on it I'm smiling, try putting a price tag on that. Are there bigger and faster bikes, hell yes, but I'm one kool Mofo going down the street riding it, and that my friends is what its all about.

People on this website have been pushing the values of low mileage Big Dogs down into the dirt from their constant complaints about design, reliability, etc. that they are virtually worthless today. Most can be sold for parts and bring in more $$. What do you think a 2 year old 2016 will go for? Maybe $17K? The cheap bastards around here will never pay for a new one. This new company is DOA.

I think it's more due to scarcity of parts & no dealers left.
If the rebirth spawns a rejuvenation of part availability & a visible dealer network, not only do I think the new dogs will hold their value but some older dogs will see a resurgence in market values.

if they are only planning on producing 50 of the K9's, i would say there will be no more than 2/3 dealers in the US. what kind of profit can be generated if all a dealer will get is 2-3 bikes and then it's over, sadly that's how it would be with a decent sized network to supply the proper amount of service facilities nationwide.
ain't trying to be negative Nelly, just have always been the realistic asshole in the room. definitely wish them the best of luck and hope beyond hope that it all turns out the way Big Dog deserves.

It's going to be a long road no doubt. I'm betting the first 50 are for testing the market. If they can prove that there is still a big enough demand for this kind of machine, then they can pursue a number of big investors. Not to mention that putting together the right team is going to take time. Call me the eternal optimist, but I believe that luxury items (like a Big Dog) are almost always a good bet.

I know that the chopper phase is not booming like it once was but I don't by any means think it is dead ,if you are a member of some of the other biker sites daily I see post of guys building their own choppers and chopper looking bobbers .normaly about every ten years all things seem to come back around again ,choppers ,custom trucks ,low riders ,hell even long or short hair styles,i think choppers are on the way back in to a point the Harley street glide phase is slowly fading . I kinda think the guys building their own choppers now are doing this at a slow pace as they can afford a few parts here and there not to have to spend a lump sum at one time.choppers will sell again if people can ever get money back in their pockets again , any way just my two cents , gonna keep my dogs no matter what or how ever outta style they get if the rest of the world wanna start riding mopeds that ok I will just blast on bye

Love to see Big Dog back in production, and a 124 and 300mm is perfect, just not a fan on the old style primary, makes the bike too bulky looking. I get why, but love the look of my 05's. Still cant believe HD has never updated to something with more style, well I guess I can believe it!

I am constantly asked if I mind photos being taken of my bike or how much they like it. This only fuels the desire of others to own one. now that Big Dog is back in production they are no longer a was been bike but a current brand. Ride on
