Dunno, less rake, different bars and I would like the simple look of it. But as I said, I like bobbers and I think BD would need a entry level bike.

To each their own i guess, i think most of us here are really not into the new fads in bikes. Bottom line is that BDM isn't going to flourish catering to a bunch of old farts with 10-20 year old bikes. There ARE only a few on here that can afford or are willing to spend $30K+ on a new bike. When the new fad is to drop $50-100K on a bagger or a sport bike, then they need to find ways to get a piece of that pie.
Ill be the first to say "i really don't like this bike." But ill also be the first to say im an old fart that is kind of stuck in my ways when it comes to style.
And I think that all has been said by many, my ONLY point was that a random stranger's (non member's) bike was treated with the 'To each his own' while everyone uses much harsher criticism toward a company that we are all wanting to support. That is all. Just my observation. Not here to beat a dead horse (which I'm not saying you are doing, just dropping my opinion and wanting to move on).

I LOVE Bobbers too and that was my dream for BDM years ago. When I heard they were launching a bike called the 'Mutt', I really thought that was what it was going to be. Bobbers were really hot back then.

Frankly, I like the bike... it's a minimalist bike. Nice. Everyone likes different things, BD problem before was they sold $30+ bikes only... even the mutt wasn't cheap. This bike looks good to me, but I liked the other bike that was seen at bike week too...

I just want to see Matt get BD up and producing again, preferably with more styles.

To each their own I guess. The actual history of that bike is yes, we at Big Dog built that bike. It was in fact actually built for Matt as a personal bike. It's a one off and not production intent. It has never been production intent. It's labeled a Big Dog in the ad because it was built by us here. The VIN has it as a custom and not an actual Big Dog model. Does it mean the bike is a knock off piece of crap? No it doesn't. It's made with all quality parts and care we put into every bike we build, whether it be a production model or a one off that we are having fun with. You want to know more, well the frame is in fact a 2002 Big Dog Pitbull frame. The oil tank and rear fender, 2002 Big Dog Pitbull frame. The engine, a 107ci that has a big cam upgrade in it. The exhaust was made here at the shop. Everything else in that bike is quality. PM grips, forward controls and pegs. Custom made seat with matching paint to the seat. You like it great, you hate it great. Just don't for one second assume that is the direction we are going forward here at Big Dog on future models. I will say the bike handles great, makes a ton of power and is an absolute blast to go carving up the streets with. Instead of speculation on what we are doing here why not drop us a line. I am sure Matt, Chris, Brandon or myself would be happy to discuss anything Big Dog with any of you.

:agree: 100% .... I say, wish they were making that one of the models. Better to have diversity in the models rather than the same thing with one or 2 tweaks. And for $19k, I'd like to have one, and there are people that could (and would) buy that much easier than the $35k Mastiff or $32k K9
