The chic in the back ground looks pissed that her man doesn't have an awesome super cool bike like all those in front of them.
Those were our cousins from north of the border that didn't speak any English. They rode down with Daniel who is a member here. There were more Canadians this year than any year I can remember. They were a fun bunch of people but we had to use lots of sign language to communicate.

Mr. Wright

Knows some things
:worthless:
I had Hard bags mopunted on my last K-9.
Here's how I did it.

Take the struts off.
Drill ou the 2 middle mount holes and tap them all the way thru.
I used a set of EZ-Brakets so I could remove.
Replace the mount bolts with longer bolts.
Would recommend making a nut cover for the inside of fender.
If you are leaving the Bags on with an permenant bracket its even easier.
Make or use an aluminum bar and tap it to receive the 5/16 cap head bolt from inside.
drill aluminum bracket as needed to mount to Hard Bags.

I bought a set of bags for about 300 if I recall when I did this.

Right now I am working on making a "tour Pack" for my luggage rack/sissy bar.

PM me if you want more details.

Dave, how in the heck would you know if they spoke English?;)

You know you speak Southern, not English. And I must admit you do a pretty good job of it even if you are almost a damn Yankee. I mean, you do live quite a ways from the South Coast.

Shoot fire doggie, I wonder what language they thought you spoke. :D

I just got back into the country and this is the best news Ive heard in 2015!!! Its so great to know that we are not the only ones on the site that think that the BDM name needs to live on. I will definitely be buying on of these one day, but in the mean time I have my eye on a really nice 07 K9 I have been wanting for some time. Just waiting on the guy to be ready to move on with it.

Awesome picture! Nice looking bike for sure!

Not sure if it's on purpose but the V&H look too high to run passenger pegs? Prob just a mock design I guess

The ones I put on my K9 are at the same height (New updated model from V&H)... I had to install the peg risers, all good.

They sure do not drag on tight turns.

Without getting political or racist. I'm actually genuinely interested why you wear it? Considering you are from Spain?

It was originally designed as a battle flag for the confederacy to distinguish their men from the North back in 1863. Oddly enough the design you see now was actually an offshoot of the flag that everyone seemed to like but technically wasn't the agreed upon one as that one had a white border.

It had to do with the Rock & Roll... I am from one of the first generations who were allowed to listen to it and had freedom for (almost everything) after the Dictatorship... Francisco Franco Bahamonde, the Dictator, died in 1975. I was then 10 y/o.

They are different mounts (same as mine) and I have seen a pic of your bike somewhere and wanted to ask you
if the pegs clear your pipes with those mounts.

Paul.

Franco, I think your rear peg mounts are backward, that's why they interfered.
Mine has the peg mount towards the rear.

Ker,
Mine came already that way. Looking at yours it seems to me that the passenger boot´s front sole would rest on the exhaust... hum... I hope not.

I did install the adapters (same ones needed when installing the V&H 2-1) and its perfect, no contact whatsoever between passenger´s boots and exhaust. can´t find any pics now.... if I find one I will post it.

They make a riser for V&H pipes that raise the pegs about 1-1.5" .

My ex hated the risers for long rides just put her feet up higher, I bought shorter pipes to install to flip the risers upside down and allow for more passenger leg room. She left , haven't done it yet to see how it works ...lol

My wife complains that her feet are too high up without the risers, my pegs clear the exhaust so there's no reason to install them.
