I didnt know about the Canadian laws regarding lights. I just thought it was odd to have 2 tail lights on each side, and I have never seen one with them.
I wonder why these 2 bike are in the midwest.

I don't think they look bad. I'm usually one for streamline simplicity, so less is more, but in this case they look fine. When it comes to being seen by they other guy, the guy in a cage texting on his phone, I'm in favor of getting his attention anyway possible to keep him off my tail. So if two works better than one, I'll gladly go with that style. Like I said, I don't think that style looks bad.
