Does anyone have any good rumors on the 2010's? I have heard there is a big change on the horizon for a certain model but not heard which one!

If they're smart they will start competing with harley davidson on some level. They need at least one bike in the teens.

We were telling Coleman that for years and he wouldn't listen! When the bobbers were hitting big, we said let's build a bobber! Didn't happen. Bigdog-inspired street fighters. Nope. The next trend was baggers. So we said let's build a bagger. Did happen. But by the time it came out, the trend has already cooled off. And the fact that it'll cost you your first born doesn't help.
Diversify!!!

If they are going to make it they are going to have to come up with in house financing like Victory and Harley.I have talked to several dealers they say there are shoppers but many even with good credit are having trouble getting a good rate or getting financed at all. There is good money in finance they should really look into it.

I agree. Also with their dealer network being decimated, that is something that they will have to address as well.

Maybe this time they can get all "good ones"?

If you go to bigdogmotorcycles.com under downloads, they offer the 2010 owners manual. The bulldog and the Coyote will have 111 ci motors. It is a 126 page download with all of the good stuff.

That's good to know. As I've stated in other threads I really think many here will like the 111 motor. Yeah I know it's 6 cu in less but you have to ride it to see that it's a good strong, quiet motor and the new transmission is a dream. But that's comparing it to my ole 05!

Is anything else changing besides the motor size and trasmission ?

Hope this helps:cheers:

if i could make a suggestion without getting u guys perterbed, it would be to make a reliable bike. in my opinion i think the big tire till the next zip code(russell mitchell)is gone with the wind. make a nice reliable custom bike to compete with hds screamin eagle line.

Mike , interesting observation.

I, for one, do not want a nbike that compets with anything the Motor Factory puts out. My Big Dog runs in a pack far ahead of those look alike cookie cutter bikes.

Who wants a bike that is compared to a Harley?

The big dogs are in a higher class bike than any HD, no comparison :2thumbs:

I got word from a BDM employee that there is one new model coming out yet and should be released at or around the dealer summit at BDM.

I am sure it is the new Chopper model.

http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad/cert/hmc/2010/bigdog_m0250023_1807-1917_1d4_hn.pdf

As for the 111" engine, my buddy Don has one in his AIH and we traded bikes for a ride. Mind you that AIH didn't de-tune the engines like BDM does, so the 111" in his bike is basically a S&S crate motor. When I rode it, I found it pulls nothing like the 117" torque wise. The power is made at a higher RPM in that motor, at least with the S&S cam in it. BDM may, and probably is, putting a milder cam in it that will make more torque and less HP just like they did with the 117". Don was MUCH, MUCH more impressed with my 117, and that was back before I did the 600 cam swap. He would be real impressed now.

I seriously think myself, that my 2004 107" ran stonger than his 111". Felt like it anyway.

To me the big tire makes the ride that much more interesting and its the look I and many others like about these bikes. If I wanted a bike like a Harley I would have spent my dough on a Harley. but to each his own so if you don't like em that's fine with me its only one mans opinion.

I have not rode the AIH with the 111 ci, yet the BDM version feels like it has more power and is much more crisper than my 117ci. This was a new bike with factory pipes and was not broke in till we raywood and I rode it for a bit. :2thumbs:

Of course, we had just rode over 320 miles at over 85mph most of the way, so it is possible we were both wrong..

Still, what is the real diff between a 117 and a 111? Not enough diff to notice.

I am sure it is the new Chopper model
.
Really?? How positive are you:D:D:D??
