Hey guys, just recieved some more pictures of the new Chopper from BDM to share with you. You are the first to see these.

Hi Ray,

Here is the first break of the new Chopper to hit the streets. I just shot these pictures two hours ago, and here is the re-blast intro for the media that I constructed.

With a slight break of winter weather this week, Big Dog Motorcycles is in 6th gear this month to exercise rigorous testing on the new 2010 Chopper. Gawking crowds were able to view the new Chopper as she was pounding the original brick roads from the end of the 19th century in downtown Wichita today. Initial ride responses on the Chopper reveal the remarkably agile ride characteristics for this new model.

Enjoy your pictures before anyone else gets them,

Looks like to me like R&D got a bunch of old parts from the Ironhorse buy out looks like a standard primary their old forward controls and a Roadmax transmission as that aint no Baker clutch actuator and if you look real close the rear belt cover is even the same as AIH used ...least you will be able to get parts if they go broke.

Low Down Chop Shop
Rear belt guard is same as my 2005 Ridgeback. Nice Taiwan made forward controls!

2005 Ridgeback tank...

2004 was flat bottom and the 2006 tank went over to the higher capacity.

Me neither. I hope they sell lots of them for Big Dog's sake, but it looks pretty "watered down" to me. However, in all fairness, we've already got 'Dogs and I think they're targeting first timers with this entry level chopper. Still, I can't wait to see the motorcycle mag articles comparing this 'slim-fast' version Chopper to the Honda 'Furby'!:loony::rant:

at least they didnt paint it green with flames!!!!!!!Framewise to me this thing dont look much different than the earlier choppers made,so to say what you have said, absolutely tells me you obviously dont know much at all,and your opinions seem to come from having no value whatsoever except to maybe the rest of the R.U.B.NATION...not too mention the fact they obviously changed out the ever having problems with speedo, and the whole electrical system and dropped the price tag considerably......
But what do i know...................

Seeing it in person would obviously be the best way to judge the bike but from what I see in pictures...I like it. I hope Big Dog sells a shit load of them and keeps the factory running and gives jobs back to the furloughed employees. An American company building American bikes...I wish them the best.

So we have a wierd stepped fender strut
Cheap but yet standard hd foot controls
standard hd hand controls
great pm wheel
standard bulb brake and turns?
craptastic kerker pipe
standard hd primary, definately a good thing IMO
a screw down rear p pad versus the the suction cups... could be good.
different forks

the newer style speedo that looks like its reading speed with it off... (can't see real well)

But best of all... no ehc! Sorry wiresplus!

What's the price?

I agree with that part! Anyway, to each, his own. What difference does it make what anybody else thinks? Buy what you want and ride what you want.
There's plenty of variety in the Big Dog line-up now for all.

Price is around 21K

Compare the shopper to the furby? Not so much, Honda bought 2 older chopper models to build their furby to be like the chopper. BDM refreshed their best selling chopper model and it is back, with many of the components you have asked for.
No ehc, more HD parts and less proprietary parts, cheaper priced which means less top shelf items, and a rtn of one of the most popular bikes in BDM history.
BDM has listened to you and responded to all your crtiques, complaints and 'wish fors' with this updated chopper.

THIS is the bike many said BDM needs to build. This is the bike BDM understood you wanted. This is the bike that will help BDM stay at the forefront of the custom production market

This could be the new bike you are looking for:cheers:
