2009 Mastiff EHC

Hey guys, I am buying a 2009 Mastiff and was wondering if they still had problems with the EHC module in those later years?

yes, they can have problems, just like the '07's and up. just remember that a lot of the problems that are blamed on the EHC end up being something else completely. my '07 has a little over 15k on it and have had no EHC related problems (yet). might need the starter rebuilt, but that's not the EHC.

Thanks for the info Tom, the bike I am buying has 10,000 mi on it and has the original EHC, hopefully it won't be an issue!

at 10k, more important than the EHC is whether or not the forks have been serviced and how badly scratched up the lower forks are. that would be the first service i would do unless the previous owner can prove that it has been done. owner's manual calls for 10k but mine were a RCH away from being worn too much at 8.5k
