Welcome to the Wolf family....some might be a bit OT.
I'd love to have a Wolf-section. Here goes my limited list of things to consider.
1) EFI. Quite frankly, I'd rather have a carb. You'ld be hard pressed to find an X-Wedge with a Carb...doesn't make sense. So, to like the Wolf, you'll also need to recognize all the issue that come with EFI. If your bike runs like crap, turn it off and go through re-start. I love it and hate it. Your revs now put you in poser status!
2) To the point above, the ECU is locked down from the factory. Any upgrade (Cam/Exhaust/intake) really doesn't matter unless you have the ability to change the ECU, in order to do that...you'll need the aftermarket from S&S. I think it's around $500ish. Anyone?
3) Power. To all Big Dogs, you'll want to keep your battery on a tender when you're not riding it. Very sensitive. My Wolf was running terrible for several week only to find out the negative battery terminal post was VERY slightly loose. Still hand tight, but needed 1/2 turn with a screwdriver and it ran great again.
4) Overheating. You don't wanna overheat this bike. Stay clear of high heat and traffic. You'll know if it's overheating…..starts coughing/hacking like a sick puppy as the bike goes into protection mode.
5) Rear Suspension. While it does handle pretty good, I find the rear swing to be flexy. Watch out on higher speed sweeping turns where you might find a bump.
6) Ground Clearance. Low bike….watch the bumps.
7) 2up. Obvious….quite 2up become a psuedo king/queen set-up as the passenger is up a bit higher. Some like it, some do not.
8) Problems. I've had some random issues with the EFI which solve themselves after the bike is warmed up. Mechanically, I just blew a front gasket and waiting to hear back from S&S.
9) To me, the bike is an extremely comfortable riding position.
10) Get used to answering a lot of questions and making friends. People flock to this bike.
