2008 Ridgeback 23" front tire

Energy One
Any Ridgeback owners do a 23" front tire conversion on a stock front end?
I'm Looking to do this in the near future. Any input is appreciated.
I myself wouldn't do that..., I think a 21 inch with a wider rim would surely do the trick I think that your trying to accomplish

20160519_185336_resized.jpg just did this on my 07 K9. 3.5x21 heathen wheels with a 120 Metzler . You will have to get a wider fender ( mines an 08 mastiff) and raise the fork bracket about 3/8ths to a half inch. I used 5/8ths diameter stainless steel spools to raise mine. I'm waiting on a call from my painter now.

What happened to this project!!??!
I wonder ss well. I have been on here steady now for over a year, and I remember when this all started up.. boy did this guy get ticked.. I'm curious myself, but I do think it's funny how the 2016 mastiff has a 23" wheel.. not my style, but to each their own. I do dig Paul's wheel, I'd like to see his finish product.. is that k9 he just repainted? If so never paid n e attention to the wheel.. that's pretty bitchin!

It's been on here since the new paint Kel. I bought the wheel set for my 07 Bulldog and kept them when I sold it . You are the first to mention it since putting it on. I myself like it but would want to go any bigger. I also have the stock fender painted the same just in case I want to switch back.

It looks good.. does it handle any different? Ya know as far as the big wheel thing goes, I'm not a fan of it, but that wider front rim gives an edge to the K9. Putting a larger diameter of wheel on the front changes the geometry of the bike which I'm sure they didn't come up with over night. Have a buddy with a road king who went to a 26 and said after 60 it was wobbly as hell, went to a 23 and started wobbling at 70, so he went to a 21 from the factory 18 and says it's just like factory, but it does look quite a bit sharper. But good job Paul!

Several of my buddies have put 26s on their dogs, everything from Pitbulls to K9s, but is not my cup of tea. I love the idea of the custom build but again I am not a fan of the huge front wheels.

It has a 26" front wheel and handles really good. Compared it to a stock Bagger and it felt as good as the original as far as handling. No wobbling what so ever. We rode 3000 miles without any problems.

Two bulldogs in that pic, not often do you see that.

You also went with the Harley stretch bags as well I see. Not a fan of the wheel but if you like it than that's great. Paint looks great!

Well I just wanted to show the Bagger and tell how it handles because of the discussion about modifying the front wheel on a Big Dog. I fully understand that beauty is very personal to each and everyone. I love the look of the original Bagger as well. But all I can say is that I got so many compliments for the red Bagger when we were at Sturgis so I think that people who don't know exactly how a stock Big Dog Bagger looks really don't care what's on it.
