2008 Pitbull sissy bar strut compatibility

I have a question about my struts ability to accommodate the BDM sissy bar. In the first stock photo I found, the bar slot is open and would appear to be sissy bar compatible.

The next two photos are my struts. After installing a new tach, washing waxing my beadt b4 a satisfying ride I noticed something new. My rear fender struts have the same notches but with filler pieces which possibly come out to allow the sissy bar installation.

I need three pieces of info confirmed.
1.....is pic #1 ready for a sissy bar
2.....are my struts able to add a sissy bar
3.....what is the step by step for installation

Thanks for any info on advance. COVID 19 has at least forced me to get my Dog in tip top condition.

Based on the following description, appears answers to 1 & 2 are yes. I suggest contacting Eric, Donna or Derek at HDM to see if they have a sissy bar for you that will fit your struts....
