Video is up. Listen to the very nice slip-ons he has.

Very nicely done. Looked/sounded like he only took it to 4th gear. Any particular reason for using that gear?

Great vid, I'll add it to the list in the "General" section.

You always use 4th gear on a Dyno no matter a V-Twin or 4cly Jap bike.

throttle response seems real slow. check out 2:00 into the vid. almost full throttle before it revs.

been a while since i had one but is that normal of a stock G?

Throttle response is great! It is pulling a heavy load on the Dyno drum

Looking at the graph it appears he may be running too high a Main Jet, it states in the video he has a 78 main and 31 pilot. You get a huge lag between pilot and main a lot of times with that combo. I would switch it out with a 76 and see what it does to that slow throttle response. I have had most of them respond better with stock jetting when not installing a larger cam. Did this guy run the bike with the stock jets to start, 74 main, .295 pilot? To fine tune you may need to install a thunder jet, or better yet put a 42mm MIKUNI onto it.
If installing a larger cam, valves and head work, bumping up compression you could go with a 45mm.

Yes the set up is a 31/76. Tech made a mistake in video with 31/78 . He was just a little nervous. Camera shy :zzsorry:

Good numbers when I had mine tuned they did it in 3rd. I heard it is suppose the be the closet to direct drive as far as gearing. Maybe they know something we don't Raywood

Had stock jets with the stock exhaust. Then switched to 76 & 31 when I added the Hooker TroubleMaker's. Left jets alone when I went back to stock head pipes with the 2 into 2 slip on's. :che iaseers:

Trust me, I ride it - There is no delay. Instant response every gear... Running like a skint cat!

Hummm must be that Georgia air, you need larger jets:D
I'm no mechanic... But the jets are perfect. Spoke directly with the tech at Thunder City Baflfes. He knows his stuff. He said too many folks go with too large a main jet. This is all greek to me. All I know is she runs like a scalded dog!

The folks at Biker's Dream tried a few different combinations when I changed exhaust. A $4 jet is nothing to them. Those guy's just want perfection!
