Wassup guys,
i just got a smoking deal on a roller. needing to find engine and transmission setup. What are my options to choose from? I’d like to make this a running bike but I want to have an idea of what I’m looking at cost wise before I begin. I’m open to parting it out if the project is gonna be too costly.
I have a set of weld wheels with rotors and pulley to throw on this bike.

S&S motor new you looking at some serous $$ may be able to find a used one cheaper. You could also use ultima motors. I have heard good and bad on ultima motors but they are cheaper.
For the transmission baker or ultima transmission 6 speed. Yours will be right side drive
Did it come with a primary ?

That looks nice. Painted already. That will save you some money. So since your other project is done....looking for another?

Actually have a few going on right now. I scored a baker tranny 6 speed the other day RSD and I also got the enclosed primary to go along with it. At this point I’m looking at options for the engine but I have the wheels and tires Mounted. I probably won’t go with an ultima motor; just hears too many bad reviews. Thinking I may get a Twin cam if possible. But at this point my transmission setup is going to dictate what I put in there because the primary matches up. This isn’t my first priority project so I’m buying parts as I find deals. I have the correct performance machine calipers for it also. The last major hurdle is the engine... accepting all suggestions!!

I have a suggestion, give HDM a call and take with them, they have a lot of Big Dog parts and you may find a lot through them. If they can not get the stuff the may be able to send you in the right direction. These folks are top notch. Here is there #620-257-2009

I will be repainting it though. Not sure what yet but thinking Burple/Cobalt might be in the future. I used a company called alsacorp a few years ago. I pinted
