2008 mastiff stalling while driving...

I have an 08 mastiff and after riding for about 30min or so the bike all the sudden stalls on me. No idea why?? Its like the engine is over heating then shuts down. If i wait 5-10min it starts but happens again within :angry:1-2min.
I live in Ontaro Canada right now so its not like the weather is 100.
can anyone help me out?

Probably going to need more info to get you help. Is it stock and do you have and efi bike or is it carburated? Are you stillin running the ehc? Are you lights flashing and the list goes on. There are some really smart guys on here that will chime in as some point.

Your gas cap if stock will have a hex shaped vent screwed into the internal side. If it does has this valve gently removed it, set it down on a towel and then smash the crap out of it. (towel only for easy clean up) Its a EPA breather and has been known to cause a vapor lock for many including mysef.

I have the same exact bike and had the same exact problem Like V said, take off that stupid white hex cap. test the cap by blowing in it. you should be good to go if there is proper ventalation

I had the same issue with my 08 Mastiff. It was vapor lock. I chucked my gas cap and purchased a wicked vented gas cap from Covington. No more vapor lock issues.
