I'm looking to purchase a friends 2008 Mastiff. I absolutely love the bike but the clutch pull is still too stiff for me.
No I'm not a Nance and no I cant work my grip to become stronger, I broke my neck and back in a motorcycle accident where I t-boned a van that pulled out in front of me and the end result is I have 15% use of my left hand, I don't have much grip strength. I love to ride and I need to find a way to manage the clutch on this 2008 Mastiff. I thought about installing the ramp and ball mechanism but i read the 2008 already has it installed from the factory. Is this true or will an after-market ramp and ball still help? If i swap the 12-disc for a 9-disc clutch, will this reduce the clutch lever resistance? Does anyone make a EZ Pull clutch lever to fit a 1 3/16" handlebar so I can swap out clutch levers? I want to figure this out. I installed an EZ pull lever on a Suzuki M109R and made it work, I'm hoping something will work for the Mastiff. Any help or suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

I have a 2006 Mastiff and installed the Ball and Ramp from Barnes performance and it made my pull so much easier after doing some clutch adjustments. But I also have a 2009 Bulldog bagger and I swear out of all the bigdogs that I've been around it has the easiest clutch lever pull and I don't know why because it suppose to have the same set up as the 2008 and newer ones???

Yes, the EZ pull became standard in 2008. I had it installed on my bike because I felt the clutch on the '08 models at the dealer. Now, it's possible it was phased in during the '08 model year. Maybe early '08s didn't have it. How good of a friend is he? Would he be willing to open up the ball and ramp to look at it? It's not hard. Probably a half hour job. If you post a picture, we should be able to tell if it's the EZ pull.
