2008 k-9 EFI Oil Light

I only have 250 miles on my bike and run it up every so often when it hasn't been out in a while. last night I was warming up the engine and the oil light came on and the engine shut off... so glad I wasn't on the road. Can anyone tell me what is going on... does anyone know a good mechanic for these in the Houston area? Doug aaaspark@yahoo.com

Im going to take a stab at this sight unseen....but if the engine shut off after the oil light came on, that would be proper operation for no oil pressure. (a safety feature built into the bike)

Now...did it lose oil pressure, or did the wire just come off of the sending unit? If you have been having shutdown problems, it may be a loose wire on the sending unit.

I am sorry for the late reply... I don't get notified for some reason. My bike has been in the shop more than my possession... I don't know where it shows the oil pressure and I am not sure where the sending unit is either... I am not a dumb ass just made the decision early on to let the dealer work on it... no how is that working for me... duh. Doug
