I purchased a new 2008 Bigdog Mastifff and took it down to Myrtle Beach for Bike Week. I was stuck in traffic for 1/2 hour or so and the oil light came on, obviously indicating an over heat sense. I have read some messages relative to oil coolers. Are they helpfull?? can I get by with just using Mobil One Synthetic to help the situation. Bigdog does not specify the use of sythentic oils?? Wher can I purchase a temp gauge for this bike to monitor oil temp??
Any help would br appreciated.

1) several good threads listed in the "search" section of the tools bar with lots of info about coolers.

2) synthetic does tend to run a little cooler and provide better protection.

3) big dog does not but S&S does

4) check with wbcycles. he kinda has a kit set-up. he is also a supporting member here.
