While attempting to find my drain plug to change my oil, I was confused because I could not find it in the location of the Big Dog Service Manual posted on this forum. With the help from GasMan he directed me to the
small 3/16 Allen head plug directly under the swing arm pivot point on the primary side of the bike just behind the primary but on the inside of the frame tube. There is a larger round metal in which the plug spins into.
I would not put 3 qts. in all at once. I would put 2 qts. in slowly and then start it up to get oil in the filter, etc. Then add one more qt. slowly. As someone said...it is easier to add a little than it is to drain some!
Once again, this information was from GasMan and I am just sharing it in case someone with a similar bike had the same problem.
