It is a sad day though as the bidding is not above 20K for a new Dog. The used ones will have a lower value to boot.

It's rare that anyone puts a real bid on anything on ebay until the last few minutes.

I've been watching the bike for days.

I think I might paint the same color flames on mine. I would go with normal flames instead of the trible style.

That's just an opening bid and reserve not met.. I have a meeting there at 9:00 this morning and will find out more. They don't discount much off sticker. I remember a guy saying to Howie (sales mgr) he could get the same bike in Tampa for "x" less and Howie said, Yeah but we promise personalized service - you buy this bike from us, and let's say you call us and say your broker down at the beach, we'll send a truck out to pick the bike up. No other shop will do that kind of stuff for you.

What he said is true, there is tremendous loyalty regardless if you bought a Thunder or a Big Dog

Great service is hard to come by.

I seem to remember Tampa BDM picked up a bike and took it to another shop for a trans issue last year at Daytona...hmmm, must be on the dead site

Thank you for saying that KnotSo! Tampa BDM offers the same service... we have a truck that will pick up a broke down bike also. We like to think that we offer GREAT service, ESPECIALLY now that we have a new manager, who is a STICKLER when it comes to making people happy.

See you all in Daytona!

Well I wonder what the real price would be on the floor if you were to walk in there. I see that 19k has not met reserve, so would be curious.

What the hell is up with only a little over 100 miles on it. If a customer bought it and only put that much on, must have an interesting story.

Nice bike overall though and it may be a bargin, but I think it would be one that I would deal with in person, just like any other used bike at any good dealer, including Tampa.

one went off yesterday on ebay for $24,500 with 203 miles. it is item no. 190194554803. looks like a nice bike. i don't know why somebody would spend that kind of money and only put a few miles on the bike. the financial hit is crushing from new to used. i have heard all kinds of reasons for getting rid of a k-9 after only a short time of ownership including some folks saying the dog is just too much to handle. i have also heard of situations where the passenger" does't like it----and well, there you go.

I wonder if it was a demo model with that low of miles on it???

Fatdog nailed it. My bike had 150 miles on it when I bought it. They claimed the owner took it on some run. I made sure I had the printout. I have seen the sales manager in Vegas ride the demos and I wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole.

good point there vegas, getting the printout is important. i bet a lot of new folks to the pound don't know about the printout. i got my k-9 on ebay with about 1800 miles on it. the seller had the printout from the 500 mile service. i also had a good feeling about the seller taking care of the bike. i feel like i got a hell of a deal on the bike--but time will tell. neither of the trotta bikes sold today. but there are some deals these days with the economy in the crapper.
