I agree with Franco. I have an '06 Mastiff and the only two things I have done other than normal maintenance is one battery replacement and one clutch cable replacement.

I had the ECM, a starter, and a speedometer replaced on my 2006 Mastiff under warranty. The gas tank liner was redone and the clutch cable replaced once. See if all of the recalls were done. It is a fun ride on twisty roads.

My 06 Mastiff has been trouble free. I perform all the regular maintenance religiously. I too have had a clutch cable break and take it in to Gateway in St. Louis for repairs I can't do myself. I say "go for it".

1 clutch cable, change batteries every two years (peace of mind) and ride the hell out it, rain or shine, the mastiff loves it all. The pipes grind in right hand corners but you get used to it.
