2006 mastiff owners

I've searched this forum and have yet to find the help I need.
Has anyone installed a Metzler marathon me880 260/40/18 on their bike?
Current tire, Avon venom measures 1/4 in between right side walls closest point to the belt.

The Metzlers do run wider than the Avons. Some have had success with them not rubbing and some have not. Some like them and some don't. I tried them on my K9, 300 version of course, and I'm not a fan.

Yep the Metzler was too wide for my k9 but just trimmed the lip back and works fine.
Was hoping a 250 mastiff owner had been successful.
Sharon does NOT want a 240 on her dog.
We're not really happy with the Cobra.
Can't get Venom no more.

Dunlop have a 250 tire. Elite 3 250/14/R18.

I know a couple of Vrod guys running them, and they are happy. Said they felt better than the oem 240 dunlops
