2006 K9 solenoid rebuild

My question is: do i have to remove the starter to do the rebuild or can i just do it on the spot without having to remove the starter .

It’s only two bolts to remove the starter. Sounds like more trouble than it’s worth, even if you could

Hi guys! We need YOUR help! I removed the starter on my K-9 2007. I'm putting on a new one now. The question is: do you need an Loctite for the bolts securing the starter? If you need it, which one? The 2007 manual doesn't say anything about the starter at all! The 2005 manual only shows how to remove and install it. There are no instructions on the strength of tightening the bolts, and there are no instructions on the Loctite. Please tell me the tightening force of the bolts securing the starter, and whether they need an Loctite tie. Thanks in advance for your help!

I see no torque spec on the starter. Put a dab of blue loctite on and torque to 25-30lbs.
