250 to 300 is a little bigger. do a little lifting and ride! hope you find a taker I am sure that someone with a chopper would want something a little fatter!

I have a feeling you just might find a taker on that trade. I'm on your side though, I like a smaller ass personally.:D

My dad went from a 1974 Suzuki GT550 and hadn't ridden since he sold it before I was born in 76'. Had never been on a wide tire bike when we both bought our K9's the same day and rode them home. GIVE IT SOME MORE TIME!

I have a 2006 k-9 chopper, standard black paint, vance and hines radius pipes, air cleaner, new rear tire just put on today {rode sunday and ran over nail in sidewall!] I just got this bike a few weeks ago and did'nt realise how different it rode with the 300 than the 250 on the standard big dog chopper I had. I would love to find someone with a 250 and work out some type of trade! or Just sell it for what I have in it less the tire and new easy clutch that I have and have not had it installed $19500.00 and that includes $229.87 for the easy clutch and $ 315.00 for the rear tire installed ! I hate to do this but I'm 51 years young and I won't to enjoy my riding days. any interest my zip is 27330 n.c., or you can call my cell 919-770-2521 est I will post pictures later this week
lets see some pics. color, milage, etc..

Take it slow and give yourself a couple hundred miles. When I first road mine it felt different, Now its no problem. Just lean and go with it.

51! no age - I agree with the boys you surely have to give it a little time - I felt the same way going from my HD Heritage to the Dog at first but it didn't take long at all. Whatever you decide good luck.

Stay with it for a few more miles. I am 69 and I love the 300 tire. It really is a great handling bike.

If you were'nt so far away I would think about a trade for my 2003 Chopper but I think you will get used to it soon enough and then a skinny tired harley will feel funny to ya!

LEE no pics please disregard the last post:nonod:

Try the 300 tire bike a bit longer, I went from a Deuce with a 160 and thought I had bought a bike I could not ride (05 Pit, 300 tyre) now its second nature. Just sold the Pit and bought a 08 Ridge with 330, still at the stealer but the only difference I notice is chopper vs. pro street.

* Sorry ya'll got behind on the posts' Please disregard Lee's post about the underware" I'm A contractor and had to go into a house this week and work near the ladys washer and dryer and all I want to say is that my helper threw up!
