Energy One
Hi Guys, I am new and this is a good opportunity for me to quit doctoring the stock "E" carb and upgrade the performance without drastically affecting efficiency. I have seen several posts mentioning a XXX carb from Bob and I would appreciate someone explaining this carb and letting me know if it will work on this ole dog. The S&S is stock except for the exhaust and dual S&S air cleaner.

I appreciate any info,

Bobby

Before you jump the gun, think ahead as to what you want to do down the road.
If you have TP rocker arms, and rocker boxes you more than likely will have valve and valve guide problems. If left unaddressed it can do major damage to your motor. :bang: If you're going to fix that problem, you may want to do some head work. That being said you'll need a narrower intake manifold than if you do nothing to the heads. In any event you'll need an intake manifold and insulator block to go with a "G" carb.

John, your point is well taken, Since 05 the engine runs good but that is in a solitary environment. I have always been the only Big Dog in town. I want the most bang for my buck and zero deck seems a good place to start. Not knowing how much material will be taken off is a big problem. I need dependability, economy and power. as don't we all. Being in south east Texas, dog shops are few and far between.
