I have a 2005 Ridgeback and this is the second time my top motor mount bolt has come loose. The first time it fell out and hit the road somewhere. I called the dealer in Scottsdale, Arizona where I bought the bike and they sent me a new bolt ... no charge. I put blue locktight. That was about 2 years ago. Just the other day I started to notice a little more vibration than usual and checked the top bolt and it was loose. I tighten it up and went for a 35 mile ride and it was loose again so I took the bolt out and put a lot of blue lock tight on and I'm not sure if it is going to hold. Has anyone had this problem? And what did you do to solve it. Thanks ... :D :confused: :flag:

UPDATE: 05/06/09 I took the bolt out and it is 1 3/8" long ... but it did not have a lock washer on it ... so I got one put a little bit of red loctite and I hope it holds ... :confused: :spank: :D

Well do as I've posted here MANY times. The thread hole in the head is very deep. Go down to your local bolt and screw store and get 1 1/4" or 1 3/8" bolts and using some good 272 re-install them.

BD only uses 1" bolts and they just don't seem to stay put. But the heads accept longer bolts so replace them.

yep and try to get loctite that doesn't melt with heat (maybe 272 what Ray said is the stuff)

There are three bolts here that hold the mount on! The 1/2 bolt that go into the frame needs looked at too!
