2005 Ridgeback Voltage Regulator Fix

Hey Guys, I have the original 05 regulator, what is the proper preventive fix now days?
Bdm recall with the huge fuse ?
New circuit breaker?
New regulator?

All of the above or leave out the CB and just use the 40 Amp fuse in its place. The Regulator I would replace for sure.

I had to replace the VR on my 06 K9 too.
