2005 Ridgeback Chopper. Has been dynoed. Has a super G carb. Vans & Hines Exhaust. Back fires on deceleration badly. This bike has been worked on five times. I think its back fireing out of the rear cylinder. Anybody have any ideas??

You should check your exhaust bolts. I have V&H br pipes and had a loose exhaust flange nut and had a lot of pop on decal.

it may also be runnin rich look at the back fife at night the more yellow the more rich the more blue the closer you are to right but you must not have any exhaust leaks in order for this to be true (its crude but it helps in a pinch)

Welcome to the pound make sure you go to the introduction section and give us the scope and pics of the bike.

Also any other mods done to the bike like a cam, no baffles, etc. The 05's came with a E carb with restictor plates did you have the G carb installed?

Thanks V.

If the E carb was swapped with the G carb the intake manifold would have to have been changed also ... different manifold for the E vs the G. I think the backfiring is from running too lean ... mine does that if I run it too lean ... but I like the sound of it ... sometimes ... :flag:
