Could anyone tell me what the final drive belt, tooth count is for a 2005 Mastiff? I know the belt is 1 1/8" wide, with a 14mm pitch, but I can't find any information in the 2005 Big Dog Service manual, or on this forum, for the final drive belt tooth count.
I measured the belt path on this bike and calculated it to be an approximate 130 tooth belt, but as you know, belts come in increments of 1 tooth, so I don't want to buy a belt that might be too long or too short, and not have enough rear axle adjustment, to compensate for my buying the wrong length belt.
Also I have no idea, if Big Dog allowed for any belt stretch over time in use, and used a shorter belt to compensate for this factor.
By the way, this happens to be a ground up, new build Mastiff, so it has never had a belt on it, or I'd have something to use as a go-by.
