O.K., this is freaking wierd, I was riding and I pulled over to get some fuel and when I went to shut off the bike the lights and ignition stayed on! WTF? I turned the bars left to right and it went off, then I tried to turn it on and nothing, dead, I keep trying and it goes on, so I start the bike and go home, same thing at home, lights on, ignition on, then finally after I tried to bump the starter it went off, so now I am thinking WTF?, why would this happen? the only thing I have done to the bike is change the bars, I put a set of 06 Mastiff bars on it, I used the wiring harness that came with the bars, maybe there is a short in the harness?, I don't know, so I called the local dealer and he had me check the throtle conections, there is a wire in there that is for the brake light, sometime it can get pinched, I checked it and it looked O.K. so I put it back together, he also had me change the battery since I had the original BDM battery in it, so I did all that and it seemed fine, I rode it for a while, no problem, then 2 hrs later I was going to take it out and it did it again!! WTF!! I checked the battery and the terminals were a little loose, I tightened them and put it on the battery tender, I am sure it is going to freak out again on me, I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and if they fixed it, also the mechanic had me check the lights on the computer or whatever you call the damd thing, and it was fine, any help would be great, thanks.

I figured out the problem, there was a few wires under the tank that had wore off the coating and were bare, they would short out against the tank and cause the ignition to stay on. Anyway I was surprised that I got "0" responses on this thread, I guess I was the first person this happed to, Oh well, the bike is running great and I am happy.:2thumbs:

Can't speak for everyone but this is the first time I saw the post....

Glad you were able to fix it. Generally when you change something and bike starts acting weird just double check everything you did as a rule of thumb..:2thumbs:
