I have an issue with speedometer not working, tach works fine when you turn on key goes thru test goes up to 58 then back to zero and pulse code of 49438, I have looked all over the bike trying to find transducer that count wheel rotation and can't find it? Can someone post a photo of were it is at? Thank You!

One of the old ones.
My 2008 K9 has it located on the transmission housing. You can test it to see if any voltage is being sent by spinning the rear wheel and monitoring the (low) voltage at the unit. I spoke to a tech at Dakota Digital (which is a turnkey replacement of OEM speedo so the diagnostic would apply to both speedos). Each pulse has to be followed by a zero voltage. My pulses had a lot of variation, but no zero between the pulses, which explained why my speedo quit (tach was fine).
So—jack up the rear wheel—trans in neutral—attach voltmeter to the two wires leading to the unit ( I used a couple of sewing needles in the wires to attach the voltmeter leads)—ignition on/hit ‘run’ switch—spin rear tire and watch voltmeter to see if it registers zero between pulses. Volt readings don’t matter, but if there are no zeros in the intervals—replace the sending unit as Harry says.
