Hello, I'm new here,
installed the new EHC. It works almost everything except the spark. Could start the engine and it ran well. Then the engine simply went out. After 10 minutes, he started again and then went out again. Can someone help me ?

What system did you install?
Is the battery charging when its running?
How old is the battery?

Hi guys,
Thanks for the participation.
I had the bike at American Biker in Ladson SC. They have installed the EHC. Now I have a spark and the bike works and sometimes the thing just goes out. Now the spark is not at all and I do not know what to do. Battery is full and all functions are working. I just do not have a spark anymore.

Sounds like u have a loose connection somewhere or something is shorting out.. aka wires rubbing together or possibly pins touching on connectors.

Moin Jürgen,

(I continue in English if it would be ok...)

The Harness controller looks like the Thunder Heart module, what is connected to the new Harness. I only have a schematic of a 2005 Ironhorse, what had this controller implemented and attach the schematic and the schematic of the 2008 BD, what is similar to your bike.

You might check pin 35 of the module, if the ignition voltage is present, when the spark fail. However, I don´t know if it is still the exact module, what BD use but maybe it helps.

Btw, I had with my own first EHC before also a similar issue when a high current after market ignition was implemented in the bike. It resulted that the EHC switched off the voltage to the ignition sometimes after some minutes and sometimes after a hour, when the internal polyfuse was warm and tripped. This issue was only sometimes present and cost me a bit time to identify and solve. However, Thunder Heart deal since some years with Harley and S&S engines and ignitions and I´m pretty sure, that these guys know how to handle also high current after market ignitions.

Viele Grüße aus dem kalten Deutschland!
Axel

Hi Jurgen,
that is the RIP kit. I know on some models of the RIP kit that if you press the stop button and then try to start it won't start because it's not sending a voltage to the ignition module. Have you tried to toggle between the stop/run and start button to see if you get a spark?
This was just a thought because I know it happened to some over here in Sweden.
