Hello All!

New to forum, long time bike owner. Just sold my 09 Road Glide for more a more aggressive ride. I have found a line on an 04 Ridgeback with 5400 miles, all black and stock bike. The guy is the second owner and asking 8600.00 for it with new back tire, brakes and fresh service. I have read all the issues with electrical and understand that's its a hard tail. Just want to get a feel from Big dog owners and is that a good price? I want a nice bike with a bad a$$ motor that I can upgrade and still enjoy day rides. Really deciding whether to go with a HD CVO or Big Dog. Please help!! lol Thanks in advance!!

If I had 8600 bucks and came across that sell I would buy it in a second.
Provided there were no major mechanical issues.

Welcome to BDB .
$8,600 sounds fair for the RB. If thats the kind of ride your looking for .
As far as HD vers BD ? You just parted with the RoadGlide - touring bike .
YOUR GONNA MISS THOSE SADDLEBAGS - Trust me ! Harley and Big Dog are two totally differnt bikes. Just depends what type of riding you plan to do - would have been great if you could have kept the HD and bought the Ridgeback -long rides and bar hopping .
Good luck with your choice . Keep us informed.

I agree with the others, that's a great price for an 04 Ridge if it don't have major issues. You're going to be shelling out a lot more for a CVO. Good luck with your decision...:D

I wish I had more money.
Is there any chance you can have both? The HD and the BD? Even if it's for a short time. That way you could ride the dog for a while and if you decide it's not for you you'll still have the HD. And are you able to work on the bike yourself?

Thats what I was thinking . Unfourtunately it looks like he sold the Roadglide.

<--------<<< You have to have a few bikes , for what ever type of riding your doing !

I can work on the bike myself. It seems like a good price and the guy needs cash to buy another bike. A CVO would cost me atleast another 15g or so. I like to take days rides. No longer than a few hours or so. Maybe a bag pack and some over night stays. The bike will sit for the next year due to work. Just want to see if this is to good a deal to pass up. Thanks for all the help.

Does it have a sissy bar? If it does that's a bonus. You can take a duffle bag and attach it so's it would be where a passenger would ride. That way on the longer overnighter you would use it as a backrest. A lot of the guys here do long rides that way. Just like any other bike you'll end up working on it. The 107" is a brilliant motor too. I've one in an 03' that has all kinds of mods and it just keeps on keepin on. Does it have the E or G carb?
