2004 pitbull rip kit install problems

Energy One
Sorry just looked and I do not have my cables.
I called barnettt who used to make them for big dog and gave them my year and model. They were able to pull the specs and I ordered the new cables from them
Okay cool I’ll have look them up big dog tech claimed I had measure them when I called them they’re help most time I called bout cam sensor today and he wanted me send him picture of one I had after I gave him all info I had

Then your issue is most likely the Cam Sensor.
On the 04 and older OEM Thunderheart Ignition modules if you do not get the Red flickering LED while turning the motor over then their is no signal from the Cam sensor getting to the Ignition Module. It could be in the harness if you have not checked for continuity between the cam sensor and the Ignition Module. If you have continuity between the Cam Sensor and the ignition module then the cam sensor is likely bad.
Old post but you’ve helped me out a lot lol I got bike running and all controls working it ran for few minutes and cut off on me that day I tried crank it back on wouldn’t so I assumed the cam sensor was bad ordered new and didn’t touch it til new one came in but possibly wrong one the ignition module wouldn’t flicker when hitting start but it was cranking still so I stuck old on back on just to make sure light would flicker when hitting start and now have old one on now I hit start light flickers it cranks but won’t come on at all Is it possible cam sensor wasn’t problem something else went out or new one just isn’t correct one had shop in town order a cross over one from harley bc they said they couldn’t find the original for me and I had no luck online looking
I’m just fed up with the thing haven’t got ride much I have more time working on it since I bought it lol

The cam sensor we sent you is correct.
"Won't come on at all" what exactly do you mean by that?
Have you checked for spark at the plugs?
With everything the bike has been put through it could very possibly be that the ignition module software has been corrupted.
If your getting the ignition module LED flickering but no spark at the plugs then you need to put a meter on the yellow signal wire to the coil to see if it is fluctuating while you are turning the bike over. If it is not fluctuating, steady at roughly 12 volts, but your getting the LED on the ignition module then the ignition module is the culprit.

Meant it is cranking but bike won’t start and yes light on ignition module is flickering with old cam sensor back on it with the new cam sensor it wouldn’t flicker when hitting start button I will check yellow wire going to coil and spark plugs for spark next just didn’t know what next move to make tried following troubleshooting on big dog wasn’t sure how accuract it showing just 05 and up models thanks again your a lot help

Check for spark but also check to make sure it’s getting fuel.

May want to pull the air filter and check the carb to see if it’s getting fuel to the motor.

I will agree with kaptain amerika i also think its the cam sensor...ive runned into this 2 times cause a bike would run then quit...both bikes i took off the ehc and put new kits in them and one wouldnt do nothing and the other left my shop and died 2 miles down the rode....luckily i had some new cam sensor at the time and it fixed both of them...i do think this might be ur case...i dont think thunderheart is making them anymore...i was at a bike rally last year in graham kentucky in june and he was talking to me that he was going to stop making them and the power modules...but there is other cam sensor options out there...but if u havent yet i woukd take the heat shield off ur bike and put pipe wrap on it and put ur heat shield back on cuase the heat off the pipes is what usually gets them...to much heat in the nose cone

Idk if someone reprograms them or not...im sure someone on here knows if they can...ive personally never had any problems with the ignition modules...i know ultima , s&s and a few other makes a programmable cam sensor thats a all in one deal to do away with the power module all together...

If no one cam program ur power module or has one what i was saying a couple of post ago u might be able to run something similiar to this...there is other options than the ultima...Screenshot_20190403-173817_eBay.jpg

Oh okay may have to look into one those if I can’t find one or someone who re programs them but looks like may be something along those lines now with what kaptain amerika said

I am wondering if the timing could be off?
Did you say you have already replaced the cam sensor ? Did you go with a stock big dog sensor ?

Happen run across a guy at gym few hours ago who happen have one off his old big dog what kinda luck is that not sure never been lucky guy lol guessing something went bad with old ignition module as kaptain stated slapped new cam sensor back in and ignition module and boom it’s running fine now damn bike is picky lol
