I have a guy with a 2004 Chopper who wants me to put an Ultima 1.75kw starter in there. I'm pretty sure the jackshaft from his bike will not fit the starter, though I don't have the bike in front of me. Anyone know what jackshaft I need? I know there are two styles.

Also, I'm gonna need to pull the primary cover right? Jackshaft needs to come out the left side of the motor plate? Sorry been awhile since I did a LSD wet primary.

mines being rebuilt now

I didn't check the jackshaft myself but he checked it and pretty sure he said the bolt was a 1/4 20.

The primary cover does have to come off to get to the jackshaft on my LSD

I took the starter out of my '04 Chopper to troubleshoot, but don't know the bolt size. If it's any help, the lockplate that fits on the jackshaft bolt was Harley part no. 33126-90

Big Dog 03 jackshaft connected to a 1.8KW starter

The issue is that when I put the jackshaft on the 1.75kw starter, it sits about 1/8" shorter than on the stock starter. I'm not sure if the 1.75 starter will come out farther, I guess I gotta just put it all together and try it.
