2004 chopper suspension

I just picked up this 2004 chopper love the bike but running at 65 on the highway is taking your life in your hands when you hit bump you best hang on.. I looked at the shocks and there is no adjustment.. Am I missing something?

Nope. No adjustment for ride height or preload. My stock shocks were toast. Way too much travel and they were bottoming out on every bump. I put Progressive 422's on, and all i can say is WOW! what a difference. Well worth the $$.

I agree, I run the 422s on my softail harley and they are awesome, you won't regret the purchase

Have a 03 guys that is needing shocks as well and noticed that the 422's maybe the way to go is their a part number or style I need to look for?

422-4035C Standard Duty
422-4001C Heavy Duty.

Really depends on your loaded weight.

If you have the stock WORKS shocks, we can rebuild them and set them for how you want them-they have to be set internally which is a pain in the ass. They are set with the 'valves' closed from factory....let us know...

The Works shocks are adjustable for preload and damping just not with a wrench laying under the bike.
