Rode 50 miles about 2 weeks ago. Everything fine. Tried to start yesterday. Thought battery was dead. No lights on tach or EHC. Battery ok but does nothing. I washed it and put in garage when I got home 2 weeks ago. Has EHC BD 4030-04. Help

Change it.... there are two options, the white Forum (normal white background with black writing) might be better for you.

On the bottom of this page, just above where it says, About us, there is a box where you can switch colors. I prefer the white myself.

I turned the brightness up. I like it. Now, can anyone help me with my BD. It is about to drive me to drinking. No lights at all on my EHC. Battery good. No lights on tach.

How old is it and have you ever had it load tested? Are all the connections good? Sounds like you may have had a wire come off someplace.

I just re read you're origional post. If you washed you're bike you should have water in the controls. You will need to get them dried out. There are threads on the forum about this issue if you do a search.

Battery is new. Has been in the garage 2 weeks. Everything looks dry. The EHC sits in a small pocket that holds water so I drilled a couple small drain holes. Put EHC under hair dryer for a few minutes but no change. No lights on EHC when I turn key on. Red wire to EHC is hot. Tested key with multitester and is working??????

Thanks Frank. I try again next week. I'm about ready to order the "wire plus" fix kit. Hate to do that if there is a cheaper way to fix. Have had other issues with current EHC.

Why would you order the WirePlus when it is common knowledge is being shit and their Customer Service is even worse??? Just read the latest posts in the Forum about it!!!! just saying.

francoblay1///// What do you think the best fix is for this EHC? I had to by-pass it 2 years ago for headlight. 3 years ago for coil.

Well.... I am still running the original EHC in my 06 K9 and, fingers crossed, I hope it last a few more years....

When/If I have to change it someday, unless something newer/better comes up, the RIP or the ESC seems to be the best options, both use the Thunder Heart core.

As mentioned before Curtis is on vacation this week, but I would talk to him first as he can Test your EHC and know for sure if it is indeed a faulty EHC.

Looking forward to retirement
Dry your pin set out with hair dryer, then use electrical grease and lube pins. Then put back in. I use a bike blower when I wash my bikes. Also blow hot air up your ignition switch area and your speed-O
