I have a 2004 Bulldog with 2080 miles on it that I am selling. Somehow the title shows it had 3564 miles on it when it was titled and I cannot get it changed without jumping through HUGE hoops at the DMV, paying them $135 for the correction and taking at least a month to sort it out. So here is my odd question... Does anyone know how to put MORE miles on a bike speedo without having to actually ride them onto it? Is there an easy way to force the miles UP on digital speedo? It has a digital odometer, an analog MPH gauge and a red/greed LED Tach... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I know old style speedos you could use a drill, but that's the cable style. Not sure how the bike works but I would assume it has a sensor and a magnet. Maybe put a magnet on a drill and let it spin in front of the sensor?

How much is the odometer off?

Are you sure it has 2080 miles on it?

I wouldn't worry about it, I would just tell the new owner there should be a box on the title that says "Approximate Miles/Mileage Unknown" check that box off.

Be up front during the sale tell him the story. If I was a prospective buyer I may be hestitant and would ask for a little backup to say that this bike for sure doesn't have more than 3,500 miles. But the difference between 2k and 3,500 is not a deal breaker in my opinon.

I am guessing you are not the owner, did you ever ask when you bought it why the title said 3500? Seems like maybe original owner changed the speedo so bike really has 5k on it?
