2004 BD Mastiff Ignition Key is not retained when ON

My 2004 Mastiff Ignition Key can be pulled from the ignition or fall out when turned on and the engine is operating. It fell out once and luckily I found it. I have since made a copy but that is not a solution. Do I have to get another ignition assembly and where can I find one that is compatible with the Bike?

Soupy - give a search--this is well known and long standing problem with the OEM switch. There are options to change the switch. I just put the key on a caribiner and hooked it to the rear spark plug wire. If it can out it never got lost.

I'm curious if anyone has ever taken the switch to a locksmith to see if they can just replace the retainer pin?
