My headlight was the first to go. An amber light showed up on the computer.... telling us that channel went out. I then bypassed the computer and wired the headlight direct. Now the bike will run great for about a minute, then the red light on the computer goes out and the engine dies. Usually turning the key off, the on, resets it and it will start again and run for another minute or so, then dies again. Sometimes if I wiggle the computer wires, it will die also. MY QUESTION: Can I just tear it all off and put a new wiring harness on it? I think it will require new bars, switches, etc. How dificult would this be and where do I start? Frustrated in Texas.:flag:

The amber light only tells you there is an issue somewhere with the headlight system it doesn't mean "that channel went out".
You should go through your wiring harness and check everything.
Look for rubbing that has caused grounds, put dielectric grease in your connections to waterproof them and pull your EHC harness connectors from the EHC and make sure they are clean and then put dielectric grease in them to waterproof those as well.
I know you see alot of info on this site about "EHC Issues" but most of the issues are not EHC related but systems related.

If it does turn out to be the EHC for what it's worth... I went with a wire plus. Not bad to do with only one harness going to the EHC.

My low beam went out on my 04 ridgeback same symtoms If I wiggle the plug it will come back on I believe its either a cracked solder joint on the pin or a bad pin connection in the plug.

The Big Dog replacement for the 04 should be out in a week or two. Wire Plus takes 3 weeks. Big Dog is Plug and Play Wire Plus is alot of wire cutting. EHC is Big Dogs so who knows what the plug and play is like

Weigh the options and give yourself piece of mind with either way you go.
