2003 or 2004 Softail?

Should I buy a mint 1 owner 03 with 6K on it for 10K or an 04 not quite as nice with 7700 mi on it for 9500....?

What do you think? What is the better deal?

Is there any known problems with the frist year chopper with the 107 CI motor? This one is showroom nice too..

I hear the electreicl systems are better on the 03? True?

FYI, I would buy a Right Side Drive. Just my opinion.

They are almost identical bikes except in 04 BDM put their style hand controls on the bikes.
They are so close in price I would go with wich ever paint job you like the best.

I prefer left side drive > traditional Harley guy here.

03 for sure. Less gremlins for one. Two would be you have millions of options for any upgrades. Everything on the bike you can replace with aftermarket Harley parts. You don't have that option with the 04. The 107 is a good strong motor as well.

I definitely have to agree with Mike as well. My wife has an '03 that is rock solid. Hardly ever an issue. My 05 stays torn apart fixing something. The 107 has plenty of power too.

Does the 04 have the 117? Close in price, but have you shopped around? My budy got a mint 03 mastiff for $6500. 04's are trouble free once you sort out the electrical, and you said it has the WP. Either way you'll be happy.

Got the 03 myself. LOVE it. Like it was said earlier...aftermarket parts with no issues.
