hello all I have been checking in from time to time but it’s been a long time since I posted. I have a 2003 Mastiff, I am trying to troubleshoot a brake light issue. I have running lights, turn signals that are no longer self canceling, but no brake lights. I was told to trouble shoot the brake lighting system before throwing a new ECH at it or might end up with the same problem with a new ECH. the manual says that I 2003 there is software and a cable to connect a lap top to the ECH one of the things this software does is check to see if the ECH is seeing a short in a system. Long explanation for the question does anyone know where I can get a copy of this software and the connecting cable. The ECH does have a cable coming off of it. Thank you

Good luck in finding that. I'm in need of that myself. Being that it's an 03, check the wiring under the rear fender. Because of the way they are routed, they are known for shorts there, from the tire rubbing
Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it. I checked the wiring in the rear fender, all is good there. I was going to see if there is a way to disconnect the brake switches and test them. I can plainly see the rear switch right off the master but I don’t see any for thr front. Does anyone know if the front brake switch in 03 is a pressure switch or just a micro switch in the lever?
The 03 has standard Harley controls. It's a micro switch.

I got fed up trying to figure it out so fitted a haudraulic switch to front caliper and wired it in and fixed mine that way - drastic but works well
So the micro switch on the front brake went out on yours? How did you wire a pressure switch to the ecm?
He has an 05, it's a different animal.

Didnt go through the ehc....just picked up a live feed + earth from the rear tail lights. ordered a rear brake hydraulic switch, cut 1/8 inch off the depth of the thread [as advised by Curtis] fitted it to front calipers wired it up and bingo got a front brake that worked. [works for any model/year]
