2003 Chopper Models

Can someone tell me what the differences were in the BD 2003 'Chopper' models. They listed a Chopper and Chopper DT?

BDM used a Rolling Thunder frame easily identified by looking at the top motor mount above the carb and you will see the Canadian Maple Leaf.
When sales started taking off they had Daytec DT start suppling frames. This frame used a different front motor mount that the front pegs mount to. Some say it provided a shorter reach too.

My understanding was the Rolling Thunder developed some cracks. Daytec came on the scene until the issues got resolved with a recall of RT. They then offered Daytec as an option for a few bucks more. DT was added to the model ID.....so......for 2003 models you are better of sticking with Daytec.

i think the RT frames are fine as long as they have had the recall work done to them. which was just adding an additional brace on the backbone of the frame

My 03 Chopper was sent in for inspection and they found cracks and replaced the frame. Had bike back in one month.
