Just purchase a 2003 Bulldog with a malfunctioning speedo.
It powers up however the self check at power up does not go to approx. 60 and return to 0. Rather it goes countclock wise about a 1/2" and then returns to 0.
Checked wire connections and for proper voltages and all appears good.
Also tried to check for a signal voltage from sensor (green wire) both on the bike (ingnition on and rolling bike back and forth) and also bench testing (passing large steel bolt head). In both cases the sensor had 12v to red, blk to GRD and tried to probed the green to GRD using my multimeter. No noted voltage reaction in both cases. This too appears suspect.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated before I go and spend the cash.
